Honey & Hazel, located at 351 Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, opened in June 2010 and has since sold stylish and affordable jewelry, accessories, home decor, and other gifts that are (mostly) "homegrown in Brooklyn."

Honey & Hazel is owned by Melissa "Mel" Gorski, a Chicago native, who in her previous life was a public relations and marketing pro for major media and lifestyle brands, including Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, House Beautiful, Playboy and msnbc.com.
The name Honey & Hazel was inspired by the owner's name (Melissa means "honey") and the hazel tree, which many cultures consider a symbol of creativity - reflected in the store's unique and sweetly creative product collections.
